7.0/10

Staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina Del Rey was a mixed experience for me. The service was really good in many areas, particularly with the staff, making me feel welcomed. However, the accommodations weren't quite up to the standard I expected from the brand, especially considering the noise from a wedding reception that disrupted my stay. The on-site restaurant was fantastic, and the views were stunning, but some facilities, like the spa, fell short.

Rooms
6.0
The room was clean and featured a lovely view of the pool and marina, but it felt somewhat empty and lacked the elegance I've seen at other Ritz locations. The tub and shower were less luxurious compared to what I expected.
Service
7.0
The valet and bell staff really made an impression with their prompt and welcoming nature. However, the front desk seemed less accommodating when I raised concerns about noise from the pool area during my stay.
Location
7.0
While the hotel is conveniently located near LA attractions, I found that it was a bit isolated from anything within a walkable distance, which makes it feel more suited for business than for leisure.
Dining
8.0
The restaurant, Cast & Plow, offered excellent food and a good atmosphere, especially with the fire pits outside. I had great experiences with room service as well, particularly with the speedy delivery of their eggs benedict.
Facilities
6.0
The pool area was lovely and included a hot tub, but the noise from the nearby road and occasional parties made it less relaxing. The spa was also disappointing, lacking amenities compared to other luxury properties.

5.2/10

I had a pleasant stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina Del Rey, as the views over the marina were absolutely stunning and provided a peaceful atmosphere. However, the front desk service was less impressive; I encountered some issues with my reservation that took a while to resolve. The restaurant ambiance was lovely, especially with the fire pits, but the food options left something to be desired, and the parking charges were quite high. Overall, it’s a great spot for relaxation, but there are areas that could be improved.

Rooms
7.0
The room was well-appointed and comfortable, with a nice view of the marina, although it could benefit from some updates and better ventilation.
Service
6.0
While many staff members, like the bellhop and housekeeping, were really good, my experience with the front desk was frustrating due to some miscommunication regarding my booking.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is fantastic for accessing local attractions, and I appreciated being able to stroll to nearby restaurants easily.
Dining
6.0
Dining at the hotel was a mixed experience; while the outdoor seating with fire pits was charming, the limited food options did not justify the prices.
Facilities
8.0
The amenities, including the pool area, were inviting and well-maintained, adding to the overall relaxing experience during my stay.

Overall, my stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey was enjoyable, though not without its hiccups. I appreciated the really good service and lovely views, but was a bit disappointed with the spa facilities and some aspects of the room experience.

Rooms
7.0
My room was comfortable but felt a bit plain. The partial marina view was beautiful, yet the soundproofing was lacking during a nearby wedding. Not the luxe feel I was hoping for.
Service
8.0
The staff provided really good service, especially the valet and bellmen. They really made me feel welcome, though I did encounter some inconsistency at check-in.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic. It's conveniently close to Venice Beach and has stunning marina views, making it a lovely spot for relaxation.
Dining
9.0
Dining at Cast & Plow was a highlight. The food was delicious, and I loved the unique outdoor fire pit dining experience.
Facilities
6.0
While the pool area was nice and the staff attentive, the spa was disappointing. It lacked essential amenities like a steam room and felt more suited for non-guests.

6.2/10

My stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina Del Rey was overall wonderful, marked by excellent views and attentive service. However, the lack of a refrigerator and some dated lighting in the room could use attention. The beautiful marina views were a highlight, but I felt that the parking fees were quite steep compared to other options nearby.

Rooms
8.0
The room I had offered a fantastic partial view of the marina and mountains, making for stunning sunrises and sunsets. While it was clean and comfortable, I noticed the lighting needed an upgrade, and I missed having a refrigerator for refreshments during my stay.
Service
10.0
The service was truly great, with specific team members like Shelly offering great dining recommendations and Kim from F&B going the extra mile to ensure my dining experience was nice. I felt genuinely valued as a guest.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location was superb, right by the marina and just a short drive from Venice and Santa Monica, which made exploring the area incredibly easy.
Dining
9.0
Breakfast each morning was enjoyable, although I found some prices a bit on the high side. The outdoor dining area with fire pits added a cozy touch that I really appreciated while enjoying my meals.
Facilities
8.0
I enjoyed the lovely pool area and the facilities were generally well-maintained. It was a shame that the poolside restaurant was closed for winter, but the staff provided excellent service nonetheless.

5.4/10

My stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey was a mix of highlights and letdowns. On the upside, the cleanliness of the hotel stood out, and I truly enjoyed the quality of the food offered. However, the service left much to be desired, with staff seeming overstretched and unresponsive at times, which really diminished the experience. 🏨🌊

Rooms
6.0
The room was clean but felt a bit small and dated, which was disappointing for a luxury hotel. The decor was pleasant, but I expected more from a Ritz-Carlton room.
Service
5.0
My experience with the staff was hit or miss. While some were genuinely helpful, other interactions felt formulaic and lacking attention. I expected more personalized service given the hotel's reputation.
Location
5.0
The hotel is situated right on the marina, offering nice views, but the surrounding area felt a bit bland and not very walkable. Access to the beach or local attractions is limited.
Dining
7.0
I found the food quality at the hotel to be excellent, especially at the restaurant. The dining atmosphere was unique, especially with the outdoor seating options that included fire pits.
Facilities
5.0
The pool area was inviting and well-maintained, although the absence of adequate staff during peak hours was noticeable. Some facilities felt a bit outdated, particularly the bathrooms.
